Tight Lacing
The most indicated models for continuous use are the Victorian Underbust and the Waist Cincher, being more comfortable and allowing a better movement.
You must be asking yourself about the practical effects of the Tight Lacing. There are some sites in the Internet with prognoses on reduction - of course it is necessary to be careful with those data, because when we talk about the human body, any prognosis is an exercise on fortune-telling. Only for illustrating purposes I transcribe one of those prognoses:
“A Corset can reduce the waist approximately 2 % each week, until you reach a reduction of 75 % of the original waist after about 3 months of use.”
As for numbers, I can give my testimony: I was careful enough to write down my measures, in order to control the progression. The measurements were taken without the corset, the first one before putting it on and the final one soon after taking it off. The intervals between each period of use varied from 4 to 10 hours. A more effective training of Tight Lacing must be carried out by continuous use and one must avoid being without it for more than an hour, though it is not always possible. So I transcribe the progression of my measures in the first ten periods of use, to give an idea of the real evolution.
